Surviving

Feeling the warmth of the sun on a cloudy day. A glimpse into a blind billy goat's unique, ever changing perspectives.

Fusion

Scarlet slowly sifts down through the evening sky

Farewell glimmer dances across the shingled tops

Crescent moon hangs alone in the one star sky

A pair of strolling doves nestle in the spruce

Fusions of day blend into the night

Blue jays call out with their clothesline shrill

Dragonflies fancy their flight with metallic blue

A fawn and his mom tend to the cooling clover

Painted mallard kicks his feet up for one more show

Two crows sit and watch with silent praise

A young boy walks his bike up a hill

A dog waits patiently at the end of the drive

Down the street, a lawn sprinkler comes alive

The corner street light flickers with its familiar glow

A train whistle pulls its way along the edge of town

Another star burns its way into the night

Picturesque…what place is this or just the plight of imagination?

this reminds me of an Edward Hopper painting. I really enjoy your poetry so much.
